Pickles

We are doing baby-led weaning. That's pretty much where we let Quinn do it all herself. We either give her baby-sized pieces which she has mastered picking up with the pincher grasp, or we give her chunks of food that she gnaws on. No spoon-feeding anything! It gives her control over what she eats and how much she eats, and she sits there eating with us. It's supposed to help her learn portion control, lower the risk of her having sensory issues with food, stuff like that. She's the kid that always puts everything straight to her mouth, so that hasn't been a problem. She seems to like carrots, really likes Cheerios and puffs, loves anything bread-like, and apparently likes pickles a lot.
We went to Ponderosa a few nights ago. I like taking her to buffets because we can get hr all kinds of food. She threw the carrot on the floor right away, threw the bread on the floor right away, and went for an all green diet. First she munched on a cucumber until the whole inside was gone. Then she ate a green bean or two. Then we gave her the pickle. YUM!

Maybe next time I'll remember the bib!
