I forgot to post the stats from her 4 month appointment! Plus I'm going to write a bunch about what she does and how she acts, mostly so I don't forget. So here is a whole lot of writing to go with the post of pictures I just posted.
She went on the 23rd, making her exactly 4 months old. I am not 100% sure I remember it all right because they didn't give me the sheet with her info on it but I think she is...
15lbs, 5 oz
25.5 inches tall
45.5 cm head
The doctor said she is about average for height and weight. I looked it up online and she would be between 25 and 50% for weight and between 50 and 75% for height. Her head is at 98% which means she is finally back on the chart instead of well above it.
She still is on reflux medicine, and she is still spitting up all the time. She is drooling like a fool. So we go through bibs like they are going out of style.
She is working on sitting up and can finally do it with just a little assistance. She has no desire to stand at all! Today she finally successfully rolled over from back to tummy. She hasn't shown any more signs of teething other than chewing on everything and drooling. Her hands are always in her mouth and she goes from sucking 2 fingers to sucking her thumb. I try to get her to bed between 7:30 and 8:30, but sometimes we go out to eat or something and we aren't home at that time. When that happens she usually falls asleep in her seat and might wake up when we get home, but after changing into jammies and maybe eating she falls back to sleep. She gets up a couple times to eat at night, but I'm getting a good 4 or 5 hours before the first feeding and 3-4 hours after that. She sleeps most of the morning too!!! For that I am very thankful. Today, for example, she woke up at 9 for a little over an hour then fell back to sleep until almost 1! I needed that because I stayed up way later than usual last night. Quinn didn't get to see the ball drop because she was sleeping like a champ.
Quinn is such a happy baby. Jill (the sitter) said she usually doesn't even get fussy when she is hungry, she just starts sucking on her hands harder. She has been playing on the floor with her toys most of today and only fussed a little when she got stuck on her tummy and cried a tiny bit when she was ready to eat (and was tired too). She doesn't have a set schedule for naps. We just put her down when she acts tired. Usually she sleeps most of the morning (maybe being up for an hour or so sometime in the morning, around 7 or 9), gets up around noon or so, is up for a couple hours, takes an hour or 2 nap, is up for a couple hours, takes another short nap, is up for a few more hours, then goes to bed.
And boy does this girl babble and coo! Sometimes she can be so cute and silent, but she is often making all kinds of noises, especially when she is tired. I have a couple videos on my phone that I will try to download and post sometime.
I know how lucky Daniel and I are because Quinn is just a wonderful baby. She is so happy and relaxed. She has no stranger anxiety at all. Her sleeping has improved drastically. She is progressing just like she is supposed to. Even when she cries, it's usually not loud at all. And of course she is adorable (I'm not biased or anything). I can't wait to see what 2012 brings!
