Yummy potatoes

So I have tried to feed Quinn mashed potatoes many times. She has had nothing to do with them. If you don't know, Quinn is a VERY picky eater. She likes pickles, strawberries, most types of crackers, and popsicles pretty consistently. Otherwise, it's a crapshoot! If we go to a buffet and fill her plate, she will sometimes eat corn, carrots, cucumber, peas, stuff like that.
One day I gave Quinn some food I thought she would like and I made myself some cheesy mashed potatoes.  She had nothing to do with the food I gave her, and she was reaching for my potatoes. I gave her a spoon with some potatoes on it, and she ate them! Then I put a blob of them on her bowl. She went to town on them! It wasn't a fluke I guess, because this picture is her a week or so later eating them again.
Followed of course by a bath!

My Little Pink Chair

So yesterday Quinn hardly slept at all. She had a 10 minute nap and an hour and a half nap. Usually she takes a pretty long nap and then another good 30-45 minute one. Her fever was making her cranky, so I put her to bed about 20 minutes early. 15 minutes later, wide awake!!!! I brought her back out into the living room. She didn't want to just sit on our laps.
Well, she loves her little pink chair. She can't get in and out of it well, so it's a good place to sit her for awhile. Daniel put her in it and put her bucket of toys in front of her. (notice the look of discomfort on her face, that's the fever)

And she proceeded to pull the toys out one by one until they were all gone.

Today I stayed home with her again. Her fever was coming back sooner and higher, and she started getting even more cranky. I took her to the doctor this afternoon. Apparently there is a virus going around that is just a fever. There is nothing we can do but give her Tylenol or Ibuprofen. After forcing Ibuprofen into her (the Tylenol wasn't working so much anymore) she seems to be doing a bit better. Hopefully I can take her to Jill's tomorrow and go to work!

Update

I haven't posted in quite awhile. I don't have any pictures because my phone isn't taking pictures, and that's where I get them all.
Quinn has a fever right now. She's being cranky, yet still smiling and dancing. Last night she was basically screaming instead of sleeping. I got out my phone and turned on a song on youtube. She grabbed my phone and started smiling and dancing. When the song was over, she started screaming again until I got another song started. It was cute and sad all at the same time.
Quinn is all about waving now. She waves bye and waves randomly whenever she feels like it. Still has 8 teeth, and she's been using them to bite into food like crazy. Just recently she's finally starting to actually eat more solid food. She is shaking her head no if she doesn't want something. Or, if you say "no" sometimes she will start shaking her head no and dancing. It's pretty cute. She laughs ALL the time! I was talking to Kelli on the phone one day and started laughing. Then I heard Quinn just giggling like crazy in the back seat! She cracks me (and herself) up.
She loves swimming! She loves popsicles. She loves when Otis jumps up around her, as long as he doesn't jump on her. She's definitely saying something that sounds like Otis, and sometimes she says something that sounds like dog.
She pulls up to things, but she still shows no desire to actually stand on her own or walk at all. I say take your time!
I can't believe her birthday is now less than a month away!
