Future Cook

Aunt Cindy got us this kitchen for Christmas. We got it out tonight. Quinn sat there and played with it for quite awhile. She's getting so big, sitting there grabbing at things. Every time I would put a shape into the fridge, she would push it through. Then I would clap and she would grin super big. 

Life according to Quinn

"Aunt Kelli, I love this blanket!"

"Look at me, I'm up on all 4s trying to get somewhere other than behind me"

"Today I'm 6 months old and I'm wearing a dress and I'm adorable!"

"Haha,you try to take my picture, I will throw my legs up!"

"Ok, this might be my new 'bed', but I don't care!"

6 months

6 month visit yesterday:
26 inches (50%)
17 lbs 8 oz (between 50 & 75%)
45 cm head (95%)
She is slightly concerned about her height because she isn't growing on a curve. But her ears are looking better and everything else seems perfectly normal. Starting solids today!

Ear Update and pictures

It's been a rough couple weeks. It's been apparent she has an ear infection for awhile, but she had been her happy self and it didn't look bad. She just would randomly play with her ear like she did with the last ear infection. I hate giving her antibiotics at such a young age, so we were seeing if it would clear on its own (that can happen. Baby ear infections aren't always bacterial things.) Well, she got a fever, so I broke down and sent her to the doctor. Double ear infection:( So far she isn't getting any better and I'm about to try some other non-drug options. My normally happy baby is having a rough go, and it isn't fun for me either. Plus, the antibiotic is really hurting her bum, and that stinks. Oh, but she turns 6 months old on Thursday. Another well visit, more shots, and starting solids! I bet that will be my next post.

She isn't naked. She has a diaper on. She pooped and it got on her clothes and I had to change her and it was a big mess and I had a change of clothes but didn't put them on her. Don't worry, she was properly buckled and totally covered with a warm blanket. This was a bit of a fast recreation for a picture. And of course, pulling on her ear. This was day 1 of antibiotics.

For Becky

Becky and Tim brought over their old washer and drier to give to Daniel. Quinn was a bit tired anyway, but apparently she thought Becky was a nice comfy place to sleep:)

I'm running out of titles for picture updates

For some reason, I just thought this outfit was adorable! I did have to put a bow on her so she wouldn't look like a boy though.

The flash always makes her look drunk or something, but she's almost pushing herself up on her legs! Before I know it, she'll be crawling!

Yeah, the onesie says "tutu cute" so she had to wear the tutu with it! Gosh, she looks like she's about to outgrow that car seat.

So I picked her up from Jill's today, and she was hanging out in this cute little car. She was busy playing with all of the stuff. She always looks like it's her job when she is playing with things... like she has to play with each item one at a time in order. Anyway, it's really cute, just like her!
